Hi all, first, I want to thank each and every one of you for reading, commenting, liking, etc. This week has thrown me for a loop. I’ve dealt with maybe a record number of rude, dishonest, snarky, or just plain mean people in the last 5 days and throw in pregnancy exhaustion and keeping up with a toddler and a renovation and I’m feeling pretty run down. That’s why every sweet, kind, or thoughtful comment here or on Instagram or another social media outlet has meant even more as of late. Even though I don’t know most of you personally, I just wanted to thank you so much for your support.
On to a fun client project reveal: a classic kitchen that needed some sprucing up. When my client moved in, this house was already new fairly new, but it wasn’t her style at all. It had a lot of tan and red and felt really heavy. She and her husband have been going room by room, adding custom moulding, new paint, and it feels like an entirely new house! I’m grateful they asked me to come in and put some finishing touches on the rooms to make them feel more complete.
The kitchen got a new subway tile backsplash, new lighting, new paint, and some carefully selected styling pieces. The barstools, believe it or not, were a garage sale find. Her husband painted them white and I helped her recover the cushions. Good as new!
The cabinets and countertops we kept as they were– it truly amazing what paint, a new backsplash, lighting, and furnishings can do to bring a space to life and lighten things up! Take a look:
Have a wonderful weekend!
